Your Job
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of our quality assurance test and measurement programs. You will conduct inspections and tests of components and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards, helping maintain our commitment to delivering high-quality products.
Our Team
You will be part of the Quality Assurance team, a dedicated group focused on maintaining product integrity and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. The team collaborates closely with production, engineering, and customer service divisions to uphold our high standards.
What You Will Do
- Assist in developing, revising, and implementing inspection and testing methods and procedures for components and finished goods.
- Maintain calibration and proper functioning of test and measurement equipment.
- Verify sample requirements using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, optical components, and resistance meters.
- Support qualification and testing programs by executing functional tests according to specifications.
- Perform statistical analyses to evaluate costs, material disposition, and recommend corrective actions for non-conforming materials.
- Update and distribute quality reporting results to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records of customer returns and corrective action correspondence.
- Train and assist product inspectors to enhance team capabilities.
- Conduct special testing functions and internal facility quality audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, blueprints, wiring diagrams, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write simple correspondence and present information clearly in small group settings.
- Proficient in basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpreting bar graphs.
- Skilled in problem-solving with the capacity to handle practical issues where only limited standards exist.
- Ability to follow a variety of instructions presented in written, oral, or diagram form.
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with statistical quality control tools and software.
- Familiarity with calibration standards and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Basic knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
