Process Engineering Technician

Position Summary
Supports process engineers by executing technical tasks related to welding, process validation, and continuous improvement. This role includes hands-on work setting up fixtures, collecting data, supporting equipment trials, and ensuring process documentation is accurate and complete.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Support Process Engineers in designing and executing experiments, validating new tools, and implementing precision measurement methods to monitor process health.
- Conduct quality testing of incoming materials and in-process parts; compile and report findings to Engineering and Production teams to drive improvements.
- Assist with documenting and maintaining robust procedures and standard work instructions (SOPs), ensuring consistent, high-quality manufacturing execution.
- Monitor production line performance against established standards; identify emerging trends and proactively communicate potential issues to relevant teams.
- Train operators on newly introduced processes, inspection techniques, and equipment usage, emphasizing accuracy, consistency, and workplace safety.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area; follow prescribed safety and environmental regulations.

Experience/Education
- High school diploma.
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or some technical training that's equivalent to an Associate Degree a plus
- Hands-on experience working in a high-volume manufacturing or equivalent environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Engineering & Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of basic engineering principles, manufacturing research and testing methods, and the ability to use technical software tools to support process development and metrology.
- Analytical & Mathematical Proficiency: Capable of interpreting data, applying sound math skills, and solving problems independently in support of new technology and process improvements.
- Communication & Collaboration: Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, contribute ideas, and train others as needed.
- Organizational Excellence: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow complex directions, and skill in documenting procedures and reporting results accurately and efficiently.
- Workplace Readiness: Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment with physical tasks, adapting quickly to evolving priorities, and demonstrating a strong work ethic.
Plusses:
- Knowledge of and process experience with adhesives, CMM measurements and/or test equipment
- Prior experience with roll-to-roll processing
- Prior experience running trials or experiments
- Prior experience with lithography or related circuit patterning technology
- Prior start-up experience
Working Conditions / Hours /Physical Requirements
Full-time, hourly non-exempt position.
Standard work schedule is 40 hours per week unless on alternative work schedule; overtime may be required based on business needs and will be paid in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws. Travel to other CelLink sites, vendors, or customer locations may be required depending on assignment.
Manufacturing/production area: Periodic exposure to high noise from operating equipment, moving mechanical parts, nuisance dust, and common industrial chemicals used in manufacturing. Appropriate PPE is provided and required where applicable.
The employee is required to stand, walk, reach, grasp, or move objects as part of normal manufacturing activities. Bending, balancing, or working in varied positions may be necessary. Employees may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds independently, or up to 50 pounds with assistance. Vision abilities needed for this role include the ability to read documents, operate equipment safely, and visually inspect materials.
