Splash into a new opportunity with the City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation Aquatics Team! Teach swim lessons as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI certification provided by us).

Multiple positions available.

• Teach the fundamental Learn-to-swim courses including Parent and Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics, Learn-to-Swim Levels 1-3, Swim Academy, Adult, and Private Swimming lessons.

• Course planning and class preparation required; including lesson plans, skills checklists, and required American Red Cross paperwork.

• Provide a high-level of customer service to program participants at all times.

• Attend mandatory in-service trainings and staff meetings as scheduled by supervisors or manager.

• Supervise and guard aquatics pool area to ensure participants adhere to all City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation Aquatics guidelines and procedures.

• Assist lifeguard staff in maintaining clean and safe operational pool areas.

• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 16 years of age at time of hire. Regular punctual attendance is required.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

Valid Class C Texas Driver's License. Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification preferred.

EMPLOYMENT TESTING:
Employment is contingent on passing post-offer, pre-employment drug testing, criminal background investigation and driving record check, if applicable.

Hiring Range: $14.50 - $16.50 hourly.
