Job Summary:
What part will you play?
GAF Energy is seeking a Senior Facilities and Maintenance Manager who will lead facility and equipment maintenance services at our Manufacturing facility in Georgetown, TX.
You will report to the VP, Manufacturing, and you will manage the upkeep of the building's infrastructure, equipment, and machinery, ensuring it is safe, functional, and compliant with regulations. You will join a highly focused team that thrives in a fast-paced, start-up, and multi-shift environment.
The ideal candidate must be very hands-on and thrive working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to “switch hats” quickly and often.
What will you do?
Manage facility maintenance, installation, safety, and security.
Establish, manage, and execute the facility safety and maintenance program.
Ensure the facility is compliant with State & Federal Codes.
Create/revise policies, procedures, forms, and workflows to support facilities services.
Schedule, supervise, and/or perform repairs and maintenance of site facilities.
Complete maintenance, installations, and repairs, or coordinate with contractors and vendors as necessary.
Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
Complete maintenance, installations, and repairs, or coordinate with contractors and vendors as necessary.
Place orders for parts and services, and process invoices as part of the payment process.
Ensure installation and maintenance work adheres to safety standards and regulations.
Provide data and reports necessary for developing capital budgets for the facilities.
Manage regular inspections on all utilities, electrical, light, and water.
Manage Safety and Security routines (such as fire drills and inspections).
Manage and coordinate safety and facilities audits.
Oversee waste management with vendors.
Develop and drive facility projects to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
Facilitate the design, build, and/or modification of production workstations with tools in the machine shop.
Respond to facility issues in a timely manner to resolve problems.
Works with building owner, management, and other departments.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What do we require from you?
BS degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or equivalent.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a facilities management/engineering position.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and other environmental regulations.
Relevant professional certification will be an advantage.
Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management.
Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
Must be able to wear safety equipment and perform work in a production environment.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Ability to walk, lift, carry, grasp, bend, reach, kneel, climb stairs and ladders is required.
Ability to work in standing operations for long periods of time as necessary.
Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination, enabling the use of tools and equipment, is required.
Specific vision abilities, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus, are required.
Demonstrated experience in manufacturing start-ups and expansions.
Familiar with Building Management Systems maintenance and monitoring.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external functional teams verbally, in writing, and via presentations.
Hands-on and a team player.
Impeccable attention to detail, a process-oriented mindset, and excellent time management skills.
