The Theatre Department at Southwestern University seeks an instructor for one section of Design Fundamentals, (entry-level undergraduate course) in Spring 2027. The course centers on the elements and principles of design when exploring major areas of design for theatrical productions and creative collaboration. The section of approximately 30 students will be taught on Tuesdays/Thursdays 1:00-2:15PM and must include 1-2 additional office hours on campus. Our Spring semester runs from January 19 to May 5 plus final exams given the week of May 10-14.
This position is not eligible for employer immigration sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization.
- Master's degree in theatre arts, with an MFA in art and design. preferred
- Demonstrated teaching experience.
