We are currently looking for a full-time Resident Care Supervisor to work the overnight shift (10P-6A) within our Assisted Living and Memory Care community at The Wesleyan. At The Wesleyan, Resident Care Supervisors oversee all Assisted Living and Memory Care operations by ensuring resident safety, staff oversight, compliance with facility policies, and prompt response to emergencies while maintaining a calm, secure environment throughout the shift. An active CMA certification PLUS an active CNA certification in the state of Texas along with proven supervisory experience in an assisted living or memory care community and a servant-minded approach to caring for others is absolutely essential to your success as a Resident Care Supervisor at The Wesleyan.

Essential Functions:
- Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of all residents during the assigned shift.
- Conduct regular rounds to monitor residents and the facility.
- Respond promptly to residents’ needs, call lights, and emergencies.
- Observe residents for change in condition and report concerns.
- Ensure residents receive scheduled overnight services as outlined in ISP.
- Oversee the job duties and tasks of overnight caregivers and provide support to them in all areas of their role.
- Assign duties and monitor staff performance throughout the assigned shift.
- Provide guidance, coaching and direction to staff during the assigned shift.
- Address staff concerns and resolve issues as they arise.
- Ensure staff follow all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Complete required shift reports, incident reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with on-call management, maintenance, or emergency services when necessary.
- Implement emergency procedures in the event of a fire, evacuation, severe weather or medical emergency.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the facility for the oncoming shift.
- Communicate significant events to administration and oncoming shift leadership.
- Job duties may be modified based on facility needs and regulatory.
- Complete any additional job duties as assigned by the building Administrator and/or Wellness Director
Complete other tasks and job duties as directed by the Wellness Director and/or the building Administrator.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Having and maintaining an active, unencumbered Medication Aide Certification (CMA) and Nurse Aide Certification (CNA) issued from the state of Texas is required.
- Prior experience working as a caregiver in an assisted living, memory care, senior living or healthcare environment.
- Must have a compassionate and resident-centered approach in all aspects of the job.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in all circumstances.
- Proven communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills are required.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively are essential to the success of this position.
- Physical ability to perform resident rounds and assist residents and caregivers as needed as well as the ability to respond quickly to emergencies is required.
- Working knowledge of an assisted living and/or memory care community preferred.
- Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Must have a service-minded approach to all aspects of the job.
- A passion for working within a senior living community, specifically an assisted living and memory care community, is a must!
