Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

As a CPI Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator, you will play a critical role in partnering with the site team to coordinate safety and environmental programs that promote and ensure a healthy and safe working environment.

CPI has an immediate need for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator in CPI's Georgetown, Texas location.

As a CPI Environment Health and Safety Coordinator, this individual assures compliance with federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations including TCEQ – Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and OSHA -Occupational Safety and Health Administration. An effective Coordinator should be Self-motivated and self-directed to take actions that achieve the goals of the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provides support on environmental health and safety compliance to site personnel at the Georgetown/Round Rock locations under the guidance of the EHS Manager.2. Maintains skills and knowledge required to perform job duties. Stays up to date on state and federal environmental health & safety regulations.3. Inspects the facility to identify existing or potential hazards to determine corrective measures and ensure compliance with CPI safety standards and government regulations.4. Assists in the implementation and maintenance of the environmental, health and safety management systems and recordkeeping processes.5. Leads or assists in the investigation of accidents and incidents to identify causes and determine prevention of same or similar events in the future. Implements and follows up on corrective actions.6. Champions a culture of safety through visible leadership, recognition, communication and enforcement of safe procedures and requirements.7. Consults and coordinates with site leaders regarding existing and new safety procedures.8. Maintain environmental compliance programs such as Tier II, stormwater permit, hazardous waste. 9. Analyzes incident data to identify trends in injuries, illnesses, accidents, or other hazards and recommends corrective and preventive measures.10. Coordinates and facilitates Safety Committee meetings and projects.11. Delivers and supports safety training programs, collaborating with the Training Department to develop materials as needed.12. Maintains hygiene programs, such as noise, air quality surveys.13. Maintains or updates emergency response plans or procedures.14. Serves as site contact for regulatory agencies, insurance representatives and consultants in the absence of the EHS Manager or as assigned.15. Maintains confidentiality.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:1. Performs other related duties as assigned by manager.2. An initial focus of this role will be to coordinate key stakeholders in developing CPI’s EHS management software, supporting modules for incident reporting, training, document management, auditing and dashboard development.

Technical Competencies:
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Management.
• Qualifying experience may be evaluated in lieu of a degree for experience in the health, safety
environmental field in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
